Remember the Palestinian Nakba

As Jews throughout the world celebrate the founding of the state of Israel on May 14, 1948 (on the Hebrew calendar, it falls on May 8 this year), Palestinians mark the 60th anniversary of dispossession and exile, known as the nakba, or the catastrophe.  For some of the ways you can act to remind the celebrants and the U.S.

The concert, featuring such rising stars of Ethiopia as Abebe Teka and Asresash Meshesha a.k.a. Mimi, kicks off an Ethiopian Millennium Celebration Series that includes a film festival, art exhibits, and panel discussions.
