Multi-Media Cuban-Jewish Blow-Out Bash
In celebration of Cuban-Jewish culture, Sexteto Rodriguez and Tzadik Records release their new album, Timba Talmud, and will set the night with their Havana-inspired, contagious Latin Klezmer sound.
The night will also feature Roberto Rodriguez and NY Ladino singer, Sarah Aroeste, premiering their original Cuban-Sephardic music project, with special guests. Also highlighted will be a presentation of salsa with famed dancer Franck Muhel (and open salsa party to follow), art exhibit by Cuban painter Javier Gonzalez Gallosa, documentary film clips and more!
A portion of proceeds from the night will benefit the Cuba Jewish Music Library (CJML) project, a grassroots effort to help build Jewish music libraries across Cuba.
Come dance the night away with great music, and for a special cause!
