We caught this band live at the Bowery Ballroom and got the bug. This is their CD from 2005; check out Track 11, "La Bush Resistance."

Political Latin Jewish hip-hop from Beyond the Pale's own Abe Velez. We like to think of Track 3, "Kike on the Mic," as our alternative theme song.

A bit folky, a bit punky, and very Lower East Side, the lyrics on songs like Track 6, "Anxiety  Attack," and Track 8, "Moving," really strike a chord with us. 

Known as an innovative klezmer band, The Klezmatics go American folk on this CD where they put twelve unrecorded Woody Guthrie lyrics to music in a tribute to that populist wonderland, Coney Island.

Tunes loosely related to Hanukah from Don Byron, the Klezmatics, Jane Siberry, Rebbe Soul, the Masada String Trio, and more. We often play Track 5, "Kiddush Le Shabbat," by The Covenant, and Track 1, "Rock of Ages," sung by Marc Cohn.
